Signs of Steering or Suspension Wear
Worth having checked promptly if you notice:

Is a knocking noise over bumps serious?
It should be checked promptly. The cause is often an inexpensive component - a worn drop link or bush - but left alone it accelerates wear on tyres and other parts, and many suspension defects are MOT failures. Catching it early is usually the cheaper outcome.
Should shock absorbers be replaced in pairs?
Yes, across an axle. A new damper paired with a worn one gives uneven handling and braking. Replacing them as a pair keeps the vehicle balanced and predictable, which is why it's the right approach even though it costs a little more upfront.
What causes uneven tyre wear?
Often worn steering or suspension components, or wheel misalignment - the suspension no longer holding the wheel at the correct angle. Beyond the cost of replacing tyres early, it's a sign something underlying needs attention. We diagnose the cause rather than just noting the symptom.
